Well, we were lucky with the weather. After five days of an Antarctic blast bringing rain, snow and blizzard conditions to the National Capital, our Presentation Luncheon day dawned fine and sunny. Members brought their MGs out for a run and put them on show at the front of the venue, the Commonwealth Club. We had a brilliant line up ranging from Malcolm Noad's 1932 J2 to Virginia Brown's 2025 ZS. Our guest speaker was Warren Brown AM, who regaled us with the many adventures he had on his epic 24,000 km journey to recreate Francis Birtles’ famous 1927 drive from London to Melbourne in a classic Bean roadster. Another excellent event convened and hosted by our Tim Brown (no relation). Thank you Tim, and thank you to the Commonwealth Club for a fabulous meal in splendid surroundings. The Battle is over, the French have been routed again (87 cars to 31) and the day has been declared one of the best ever. Congratulations to Kerry McDonald and Chris Wells for organising such a well-run event. The Club's Concours, Pride of Ownership and general Display was also a hit with the public and participants alike - thanks to Laurie and Ewan for setting that up. Photos can be found here
