About the Club
The Club was formed in the early 1970s and is part
of a National and International network of MG Car Clubs. It is
affiliated with the MG Car Club, UK, the Confederation of Australian
Motor Sport and the ACT Council of Motor Clubs.
The Club aims to foster the enjoyment of all models of MG cars
through social runs and events involving the use of the cars, motor
sport competitions and displays. All activities are conducted very
responsibly, with most sporting events conducted under CAMS
regulations
Mutual assistance in maintenance, restoration and operation of the
cars is provided through specific events and an interchange of
advice at monthly meetings, Tuesday lunchtime natters and indeed at
all events.
There are about 250 members with over 200 MG cars including most
models up to the models produced in recent years, making it the strongest
car club in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
