Goulburn Rail Heritage Centre Tour A
pleasant run to Goulburn with lunch at The Bakery – you know the place,
we have been there before. After lunch we will proceed to the Goulburn
Rail Centre where a conducted tour has been arranged commencing at
1.30. Goulburn was a large centre of railway activity in days
past and a tour of the old Roundhouse and other, particularly steam,
facilities will open your eyes. There’s nothing like classic cars and
old trains – they go together.
We will depart the Service Station at Watson at 11am for a run to The Bakery.
Numbers are required for the Tour.
As some of our ladies have indicated that they have no interest in
inspecting old trains so Gail Argyle is happy to arrange a get-together
for lunch at Café Injoy at Gold Creek.
If ladies would prefer not to undertake the trip to Goulburn and
join Gail and others for a hen’s lunch and an inspection tour of the
nearby shops please telephone her on 6286 2282 – and make sure hubby
changes the numbers on the sign-on list for Goulburn so we know how
many will turn up at the Rail Centre.

Tuggeranong Community Festival. Our
annual display at the Community Festival. Lots of exhibits,
people and food. The Car Club displays are growing each year and we
always aim to be the biggest. Please come down from 10am for a display,
lots of fun and picnic lunch.

Eastern Creek HSRCA Historic Racing.
This meeting is a tribute to production sports cars (1955 to 1972) and
features a 25 lap (100km) race for Groups Sa, Sb, and Sc. Some
cars will be a 2-driver combo with a driver change mid-race while
others can choose to drive the whole race as a single driver. Some
“penalty” will be devised for the single driver cars to make up for the
driver change in 2-driver cars.

Terribly British Day. Get
your cars ready for the annual Terribly British Day and the Club
Concours event which is traditionally held on the same day.

Club Chrismas Picnic Run.
Gather in front of Old Parliament House at 11.30am for a short run
across to Molonglo Gorge which is just off the Sutton Road in
Queanbeyan.
Bring your own picnic or BBQ – facilities are available for cooking.

A picnic/BBQ will be held at the Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station
site. Bring a picnic or BBQ lunch and something to drink to celebrate
Australia Day. Meet at the Mint car-park ready for an 11am start
ready for a gtrip down through Tharwa to Honeysuckle Creek. |

Weekend Away to the Highland Steam & Vintage Fair At Oberon.
Plans for this weekend are now well under way.
We have 17 motel rooms booked and 17 couples on the touring list. If

We will depart Canberra at 8.30am on Friday morning and return
Sunday afternoon. Information packs will be issued at the
departure point.
