1975 MGB GT project for sale.
From what I know, the vehicle has had
only one previous owner, who imported it from the UK in the early 80’s
and put 62,000 miles on the clock before leaving it in safe keeping in
Aus for a visit back to the old dart, never to return.
It was kept registered but rarely used for several years before I acquired it in mid ’92.
Since then it has been
stripped and put through a full body restoration including full bare
metal respray – all the work being done by ex TAFE instructors as a
private arrangement.
Currently (apart from
several layers of dust) the vehicle is a pristine rolling shell (albeit
with no front springs installed) with the wiring loom and sundry other
pieces reinstalled.
The engine was in good running before being removed, as were the gear box and electric overdrive.
The head, however has yet to be converted to unleaded fuel.
A bunch of new parts are anxiously (?) awaiting fitment; the project has so far cost me over $12,000.
Recognising that I will not recoup all of this, I am interested in any reasonable offer to take over the project.

MGB 1971
Reluctantly I have decided to part with my MG, even though I have only
enjoyed her for a little
less than 12 months.
The sale has nothing to do with
the car, rather personal circumstances.
This 1971 B, Red in colour
is in excellent condition for its age.
This car has always been
garaged and has a full service history,
including details of a bare
metal re-spray in the mid 1990's.
The car has full registration in NSW, MG71MG until January 2010.
The soft top is also in
great condition and the car drives fantastically.
Please give me a call to
arrange for an inspection and a test drive of your
new, low tech, seat of the
pants fun to own and drive MG!
Priced at or around $17500.
