The MG Car Club Sydney's annual The MG Car Club Sydney Concours d'Elegance & Show and Shine is one of the highlights of the calendar. It's a relaxed social day gathered around our cars in the springtime – one not to be missed.

The purpose of the event is promote the MG Car Club and foster general interest in the preservation, restoration and display of classic MG vehicles consistent with the aim of "maintaining the breed". It also provides an opportunity for members to show their MG cars whether they be road, concours, sporting or special vehicles.

Cars are grouped into classes and a panel of expert judges examines each class, after which class winners are assembled in a final round of judging to select the grand champions. Trophies, medallions and certificates are presented on the day to Concours and Road class winners. Normally the club members will prepare light meals, tea and coffee in the appropriately named Abingdon café.
